SOUTH BEACH SWIM

Bikini - South Beach / Top (Here) Bottoms (Here)

I couldn't wait to receive all the swimwear I'd picked out for summer 15 and this was one of the sets I was most excited about! I'm not your conventional plain swim suit girl, I like to experiment with all shapes so choosing a flamingo print bustier was definitely up my street. I must admit, I've noticed on all of my favourite fitspo girls that the lower down bustier shape does wonders for the body! somehow it enhances the lower abs and if you're someone who wants a bit more cover up you could totally pair it with the high waist type bottoms too which come with some of the other similar pieces I have linked below. This day we had lunch outside at this beautiful beach house, the orange chairs caught my eye a mile off. Looking out at the clear sea and white sand on Jumeirah beach while munching on a table of goodies will definitely remain a treasured memory.

HEAVILY ROMANTIC

Blush Illusion Bustier Dress - Opulence England (Here)
Nude Court Heels - Topshop (Here)
Accessories / Similar (Here) and (Here)

Oh summer has me feeling ever so lovey-dovey, so much so I even opted for some earrings after god knows how long of neglecting the lobes! there's nothing quite like dressing up with some jewels for a girly girl. This lace bustier dress did however steal the show all on it's own! lace, pastel and a beautiful sweetheart neckline... I don't think it get's more romantic. Opulence England recently launched their SS15 collection based on heavily embellished feminine pieces and although it was all absolutely dreamy this particular dress stole my heart. I think my favourite pairing here is THE TAN haha... I didn't realise how brown I was until I stepped out in London feeling like I'd just taken a trip to the sun. I don't plan on losing it any time soon! you know what they say, life is always better with a tan.

BOOHOO PETITE

A few weeks ago I took to my blog to write a petite plead centered around the current body shaming backlash which I felt personal to me being a girl who wears clothes on the smaller size of the scale and how this too can be a struggle. To my delight, I have witnessed a handful of brands aiming to bridge that gap offering stylish pieces on all ends of the spectrum - one being Boohoo. They recently launched "Boohoo Brands" which identifies key pieces for a range of occasions which means woohoo a whole section of petite wonders. I had a lot of responses on my social media from you lovely ladies who related to my post so above I have listed all of my favourite bits from the collection - which are also mighty inexpensive just to top it off. A lot of them are dresses due to my current situation writing this while looking out of the window at a bright blue British sky... it's not often you can say that! I guess summer has arrived :).

ADD COLOUR TO YOUR LIFE

Navy Dress - TFNC London (Here)
Bag - Lamb 1887 (Here)
Watch - Daniel Wellington (Here)
Apollo Heels - Carvela (Here)

A day out on the yacht's called for a cute little outfit so I thought I'd get my sailor on in some navy in this to die for TFNC dress and pair it with some pop's of colour. It's not often I come across a dress that is just everything I want being so picky which is probably why I have put this on at every given chance because I just adore the structure, sophistication and of course the waist cinching belt. While out shopping with my best friend before heading away I had a crazy realisation moment while I was helping her pick the perfect ball dress. I always knew wearing colour was a bit of an avoidance for some people but I didn't realise just how much of an issue it was until I suggested the red dress and got the "no way. I always stay away from any colour dresses! I don't want to draw attention to myself" response while proceeding to pick up the black option. This really opened my eyes to the fact that this is a real fear among women which is why I decided to put an outfit together that could help show how you can incorporate colour without jumping in the deep end.

First, I think it's always best to know your palette! we all have colours that we just don't like on our self so knowing what you would like to see yourself in helps steer you towards that while shopping for an outfit. Also, start with the details! you don't have to go and grab the brightest yellow dress you can find and wear that colour head to toe, instead accessories. When I found out that luxury British designer Lamb 1887 were bringing out a collection of bright handbags I just had to see for myself and fell in love with the orange one. Navy isn't the most daring colour, but adding a bright handbag and some matching court heels instantly lifts not only the outfit but your mood. Finally, I can not stress enough that it is absurd for any woman to feel awkward or embarrassed if she is wearing something that SHE LIKES! I often get asked "don't you feel weird being dressed up, I'm too scared to wear my best bits." If we all went out dressed up, feeling our best and not shying away then nobody would be looking at anyone in a strange way as we'd all be fabulous together! so why don't we try that? instead of judging! okay? the world will eb a much better and brighter place :).

ELECTRIFY SUMMER

all available at - www.sunglasshut.com

I have always said that sunglasses are my favourite accessory, I never ever leave the house without them and even more so lately being in the heat I have practically slept in them. To my pleasure, Sunglass Hut - the hub of all greatness in sunnies - hosted their Electify Summer event last night where I got to try on a million different pairs while eating some yummy gelato from their personal stand so I was totally in my zone! I must have visited this store at every mall in every country so It was really cool to get up close and personal with the new campaign and an insight to all the different designers they stock. As a self confessed sunglass-aholic, It's so great for me to be able to find all different shapes, sizes and brands in one place so I have listed some of my favourite designs below and you can shop the whole collection Here.

My trip in-store was kindly sponsored by Sunglasses Hut.

LUXURY SWIM

Hanoi Bikini - Khongboon (Here)

I love that every year our favourite high street stores fill up with the most affordable bikini's so we can grab a variety for our vacations that we wear once and never again - which by the way I always do - BUT each summer I always make sure I get my hands on that ONE staple bikini that is everything I want in swimwear. For me, this usually consists of four things:

1. It matches my skin tone - so usually something earthy.
2. It has an exotic feel/print.
3. It is extremely good quality so I can get my full use out of it.
4. and finally, it suits my body shape - in this case the brazilian cut bottom.

As you can see I found all the above in this Hanoi bikini from Khongboon which really is quite stunning. This two piece is hand made in Thailand and reversible which is always a win-win when you're trying to make the most out of something! I absolutely love the colours, I had a lot of fun blending in with the palm trees and all the greenery haha, here's to enjoying the hell out of paradise.

DUBAI TOWN & GOWN

Envy Dress - V Label London (Here)

As you know from my super sunny social media updates we touched down in Dubai a few days ago which is one of my favourite destinations on earth and I'm SO happy to be back. Every time I have visited I've stayed in a different hotel but I must admit... this time experiencing the Jumeirah Beach hotel it has definitely climbed to the top of that list exceeding all expectations! I mean, I knew it was going to be a dream but it really is heavenly. As it hosts 19 restaurants and bars on site we've had plenty of excuses to dress up and explore the night life so this beautiful and thankfully airy maxi dress came in handy the other night, I just love the mermaid like shape and the uber thin material because this 44 degree weather is no joke. We have tonnes planned here which means plenty of early mornings but I can't wait for the week ahead, kisses.

TOTAL WHITE OUT

Lee Pure White Dress - Ivy Revel (Here)
Phone Case - Skinny Dip London (Here)
Sunglasses - Taylor Morris (Here)
Jeweled Bag - Skinny Dip London (Here)
Lace Up Sandals - Red Herring (Here)

Featuring some of my favourite white details this month including the cutest accessories and the beautiful cut out dress from Kenza's SS15 collection. This post is just what I needed to get into vacay mode, I felt inspired all over again to put summer looks together so now I'm left with a not so cute pile of maybe-maybe-not's on my floor and an empty suitcase to fill - in all honesty though, it's the shoes that I always over pack on. It doesn't matter if I even have an outfit that goes with those heels that I apparently think I need, I'll still put them in "just in case I feel like wearing them" which is a nightmare for the weight limit. I guess I'll just be spending my time stark naked with heels on then, somehow this packing method is still logical to me though >,< hehe.

WORK THAT WILDFOX

Classic Spice Girl Top - Wildfox (Here)
Cropped Gym Leggings - New Look (Here)
Roshe Run Trainers - Nike (Here)

There's nothing better than stylish work out wear, I am positive it's part of the fun of being active and can in fact make you go harder. I've wanted this Wildfox top forever as you can totally wear it both ways... I've seen people pair it with an actual outfit and look super sassy so I am definitely all about that because it is comfy as hell and one of the rare tops that has clung to my skin and fit perfectly. This week I haven't had much time to get in my proper work outs but that has been improvised with how active I've been in London walking around for hours and back and forth to events. On that note, I am literally dying for my Samsung NX mini to come in the post since I smashed my current one a few weeks ago and I really need an on-the-go cam for little snaps which I'm missing out on at the moment due to it being too much hastle to lug around my huge canon all the time. I've never even tested one of these in real life so it was a bit of a gamble buy but what I've read looks great, have any of you experienced one? let me know if it was a good purchase.

CHUNKY KNITS

Slouchy Sweater - Siren London (Here)
Tan Floppy Hat - Topshop / Similar (Here)
Sunglasses - River Island (Here)
Zip Detail Trousers - Quiz Clothing (Here)
Tan Court Heels - Topshop (Here)

I can't say I'm impressed with it raining on the first day of June which is supposed to be summer but I had no problem pulling out a slouchy jumper today as I went bikini shopping to fly away to 44 degree heat this weekend muhah. You can't beat some cosy knitwear which I got from Siren London and own one in just about every colour, but today my choice was the all nudes & black combo. I'm a big fan of hats right now, how often is it that an accessory looks good AND benefits you in all weather types? guarding my locks from the wind and rain in winter yet stylish and cooling in summer! I might need a permanent one for my not so obedient hair. I'm trying to be organised with my outfits on this vacay to cut out the what to wear today trouble so I have a tonne of planning and packing to do, here goes!

JUNE FIRST

After a lovely weekend of relaxation and treats I woke up this morning and sent my best friends the usual "happy first of the month" texts and then realised we are actually 6 months in to 2015.... holy cow. It only seems like yesterday we were making the 'this will be the best year ever' vows so I got caught up in a little bit of a reflection coma before actually getting up. That's the great thing about the first of anything though, it always feels like an opportunity to start fresh, make new goals, turn a chapter and bring back that motivation to have an even stronger second part of the year. Today I plan to have a productive one so I hope you'll join me on that too, let's do this!
